Valley Trails Specific Plan
The Valley Trails Specific Plan area is located in the southeasterly portion of the City of Fontana, in west San Bernardino County. Interstate 10 provides regional access to Valley Trails and to the City of Fontana.
Additionally, the primary area of development is bounded on the north by a utility easement corridor, on the west by the Jurupa Hills, on the south by residential properties located within the County of Riverside (the southerly boundary of the specific plan area is also the City boundary), and on the east by residential uses located in the San Bernardino County area of Bloomington.
Valley Trails is envisioned as a master-planned community containing a maximum of 1,154 residential units, an elementary school, and private and joint-use recreational facilities. A complementary mix of detached and attached housing types will be provided to appeal to a wide range of future homebuyers and create a community of villages. Private and joint-use recreation amenities will enhance the area and include such facilities as a community recreation center, neighborhood parks, and a comprehensive trail system.
The residential portions of the community and the community recreation center will be gated and contain private internal streets while the school, its associated joint-use recreational facilities, and the community park will be accessible to the general public.
