Fontana Named Most Prosperous City in California

Prosperous Fontana Press Conference

A study by RENTCafe names Fontana as the Most Prosperous City in California and the Fourth Most Prosperous City in the U.S. out of cities with a population over 100,000. A press conference was held on June 14, 2018, to celebrate the recognition.

All Fireworks North of Summit Avenue Prohibited

Per municipal code Article XIII Section 15-616, all fireworks are prohibited in the high fire hazard area north of Summit Avenue. The map shows areas that prohibit fireworks in red and the areas that allow only Safe and Sane fireworks in green.

Arrow Blvd. Pavement Rehabilitation Project to Cause Temporary Lane Closures

A pavement rehabilitation project on Arrow Blvd., from Almeria Ave. to Juniper Ave. will require temporary lane closures throughout June. Work to occur Mon. - Fri., between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with some overnight work between 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Lane Closures on Citrus Avenue Due to Construction

Citrus Avenue between Arrow Boulevard and Merrill Avenue is under construction for the replacement of a water line. Work will take place overnight from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. between Sunday and Thursday throughout the month of June.

Mayor and Council Thank Assemblywoman Eloise Reyes for Assembly Bill that Seeks to Return Nearly $1M

Assemblywoman Reyes plans to correct a previous bill that unintentionally cut Vehicle License Fee revenue that funded public safety services in the City's annexed areas. If passed, the bill will return approximately $900,000 annually to Fontana.
