On March 9, the Fontana Chamber of Commerce hosted Council Member Phillip Cothran to discuss current & future development projects taking place in the city over the next few years. He highlighted plans such as renaming Center Stage Theatre after Sammy Hagar (now called Stage Red) which will act as an anchor for downtown development; transforming Civic Center with a new City Hall; expanding Fire Annex; adding a parking structure; fencing Miller Park into an outdoor concert venue; reducing impact fees on commercial & residential projects; awarding Pro-Housing Designation by December 2022; swearing in new Police Chief Mike Dorsey on March 14th; constructing Homelessness Prevention Resource & Care Center providing case-by-case services such as job placement counseling & other wrap-around services etc. All these efforts combined have enabled Fontana’s emergence as a stronghold for industry & commerce offering a supportive business-friendly environment and making it an attractive place for businesses looking to establish or expand operations here.
