Happy Halloween Happenings! Throughout the month of October, the City of Fontana invites you to safely experience festive fall activities. Come join in the exciting fall activities for your chance to win prizes. In partnership with San Bernardino County Library, and numerous City divisions, we have planned Halloween Drive-In Movie Nights, a Virtual Dance Monster Bash, Halloween Story-Times, Virtual Paint Nights, Virtual Make-Up Tutorials, Healthy Halloween Happenings, and costume contests.

Halloween Drive-In Movie
Bring the family out for an exciting, spooky Halloween Drive-In Movie Night at Fontana Park (15556 Summit Avenue.) on Friday, October 30, 2020. Hotel Transylvania will be the featured movie. Wear your best costume for a chance to win the costume contest.
Registration is now full.
The parking lot will open at 6:00 p.m. Pack your favorite snacks, bring the family and enjoy a fun night out watching a film from the comfort of your car. Show time begins at 7:15 p.m.
Virtual Little Tykes Boo-rific Fun Paint Night
Greetings all you little ghosts, witches, and pumpkins. Art Depot Gallery will be hosting a Boo-rific Fun Little Tykes Paint Night on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for ages 3 to 5. Session will consist of a short-fun Halloween story, a spooky art activity, and canvas painting. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume.

Material Fee: $7/per participant
Virtual Kid's Paint Nights – Trick-Art-Treat
Calling out all little goblin and goons. Art Depot Gallery is hosting a Virtual Kid’s Paint Night on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 6:15 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for ages 5 to 12. Session will consist of a short-fun Halloween story and you will create a hair-raising canvas painting to share with family and friends. Participants are encourage to wear their Halloween costume.

Healthy Halloween Happenings
Join Healthy Fontana for a virtual program highlighting fun and healthy tips for this year’s Halloween season. Join us on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. for a 15-20-minute special Halloween health and safety session. Session will begin with a short exercise activity and session will end by teaching you how to create your own healthy snack.

Virtual Story Time
The Fontana Lewis Library invites you to join us virtually for a story time session with your little ones. The San Bernardino County Library will be hosting two online live stream sessions of story time and nursery songs.
- Virtual Story Time for all ages will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at 4:00 p.m.
- Preschool virtual Story Time will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.

Halloween Make-Up Tutorials
Come learn tips and tricks for Halloween Make-Up with free video tutorials. We have put together two video sessions to enjoy; session 1 will be available October 14, 2020, with a focus on “Jack and Sally” style face painting while session 2 will be available October 21, 2020, with a focus on basic “zombie” face painting. Viewer discretion advised.

Virtual Monster Bash
Come join us for a fun-filled evening at a Virtual Halloween Dance Party. Wear your best Halloween costume and show off your moves. The virtual dance party will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Join us for the free virtual event featuring interactive games, activities, and dance.

Enjoy decorating your home for Halloween? Enter Fontana’s Best Decorated House for a chance to win a prize. This is your chance to highlight your decorating skills. Take a photograph of your masterpiece and submit your entry. Pictures must be submitted no later than November 2, 2020, to enter contest.

Costume Contests
We would love to see your Halloween costume this year. Enter Fontana’s Virtual Costume Contest for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.

Spooky Art Contest
Enter Fontana’s Spooky Artwork Contest for a chance to win a prize this Halloween season. Show off your incredible art skills, with a fall-themed focus, then take a photograph of your art and submit it to “Spooky Art Entry Form” for your chance to win a prize.
Spooky Art submittals must be received by October 18, 2020 to be considered for a prize.

Pumpkin Carving Contest
Enter Fontana’s Pumpkin Carving contest and show off your pumpkin carving skills. Take a photograph of your pumpkin creation and submit to “Pumpkin Carving Contest Entry” for the opportunity to win a prize. All pumpkin design creations must be family appropriate in order for entry to be accepted. Pumpkin carving pictures must be submitted no later than October 25, 2020.
