Are you ready for the next emergency or disaster? The CERT program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Register for the upcoming CERT Basic Training.
The City of Fontana, in coordination with the San Bernardino County Fire Department, conducts a free three-day basic training course periodically throughout the year.
The next CERT basic training course is scheduled for:
Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Please note: Participants must attend all three dates listed above to complete the training course.
The above training will be at the City of Fontana Emergency Operations Center (17005 Upland Avenue). Residents and families can learn basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Space is limited. Until Help Arrives
Life-threatening emergencies can happen fast. Learn vital, life-saving skills to use in the event of a natural disaster or emergency until responders arrive. Register today for the Until Help Arrives emergency preparedness course on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center (17005 Upland Avenue) presented by Ready Fontana and the City of Fontana Emergency Management Program.
