What is Fontana Walks! ?

Fontana Walks began as a challenge to the community to be more physically active for better health. Through help from partners, the program has continued and has offered taste tests/food demos, tips on how to include more fruits and vegetables into a daily lifestyle, as well as how to access free resources in the community.

Why join?

  • Regular physical activity has been shown to help control weight and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and depression.
  • Walking is easy, free, and pays big dividends for an individual’s physical and mental well-being.
  • Whether residents walk on their own, in a group, or join a community walk led by City Council and Healthy Fontana, it is important to remember that “every step counts.
  • Participants can join at any time!

How Can I Register?

Registration is quick and easy! Click the link below to fill out your information. After submitting, you will see a congratulations page confirming that your registration is complete.

Once you have registered, you’re eligible to receive FREE incentive items, while supplies last. Participants must pick up from the Community Services Department located at 16860 Valencia Avenue in Fontana (check staff availability by calling 909-350-6542 prior to coming). 

**Note: Participants only need to register for the program once

We have already taken over 10 billion steps since the Fontana Walks! program started in August 2017. That’s equivalent to almost 5 million miles!
