What is Fontana Walks! ?

Fontana Walks began as a challenge to the community to be more physically active for better health. Through help from our partners, the program will continue to expand and include taste tests/food demos, tips on how to include more fruits and vegetables into a daily lifestyle, as well as how to access free resources in your community.

Why join?

  • Regular physical activity has been shown to help control weight and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and depression.
  • Walking is easy, free, and pays big dividends for an individual’s physical and mental well-being.
  • Whether residents walk on their own, in a group, or join one of the community walks led by City Council and Healthy Fontana, it is important to remember that “every step counts.”
  • Participants can join at any time!
