Due to the evolving situation with the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus and the health recommendations for social distancing from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) THE CITY OF FONTANA PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF JULY 7, 2020 AT 6:00 PM SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC REMOTELY. The general public is encouraged to watch and participate from the safety of their home while practicing social distancing. The meeting can be viewed: On Local Cable: KFON Channel 3 and Streaming Online: https://fontanaca.swagit.com/live. Members of the public can submit comments via e-mail at: planningcomments@fontana.org at any time prior to the closing of the public hearing for each agenda item. Comments received prior to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 will be provided in advance to the Planning Commissioners. City Staff will be monitoring this e-mail during the meeting and will read the comments into the record at the appropriate time during the meeting. Please submit comments prior to the opening of the public comment period for each agenda item. Public Comments of no more than 3 minutes shall be read into the record. In the subject of your e-mail, please indicate the item number and if it is a public hearing item whether you are in favor or opposition of the project. Comments received after the public comment period is closed shall not become part of the public record of the hearing and shall not be made available to the Planning Commission.

Master Case No. 20-047; Conditional Use Permit No. 20-016; and Administrative Site Plan No. 20-010 - Date of Hearing: Planning Commission Meeting of July 7, 2020. 

Review of a Conditional Use Permit to operate a charter high school (Real Journey Academies, Inc.) at an existing 25,840 square foot building at 16730 Arrow Boulevard. The proposal also includes an administrative site plan to make improvements to the site and paint the existing building. An additional property at 16725 Spring Street to be improved with an outdoor physical education (PE) area, fencing, drop off/pick up area, and parking.

Master Case No. 19-091; Minor Use Permit NO. 19-004; and Design Review No. 19-029 - Date of Hearing: Planning Commission Meeting of July 7, 2020. 

A request by the project applicant for approval to establish a 4-story hotel with 111 rooms with amenities including a conference room, fitness center, laundry, and an outdoor pool and spa, in the General Commercial zoning district. The project also includes an 8,000 square foot pad for future restaurant.

Master Case No. 19-077; Conditional Use Permit No. 19-029; and Administrative Site Plan No. 19-049 - Date of Hearing: Planning Commission Meeting of July 7, 2020. 

A request by the project applicant, Guillermo Calvillo, on behalf of Central Valley Auto Transport, for approval to establish a registered vehicle storage facility on a 2.6 acre site with an approximately 4,450 square feet with an office space and indoor automobile storage. The applicant is proposing 21,420 square footage for outdoor storage for automobiles and 11,022 square feet of loading area. The site would have all necessary landscaping, lighting and screening devices.
