Investigator holds evidenceResponsibilities

The Field Evidence Unit is responsible for processing crime scenes for forensic evidence including:
  • Blood evidence
  • Crime scene photographs
  • DNA
  • Factual diagrams
  • Latent fingerprints
  • Trace evidence
The Unit processes all crime scenes including homicide, rape, robbery, burglary, auto theft / recovery, and any other crime scene where their specialized services are needed.


The Field Evidence Unit directly supports the detectives and the field officers with the expertise needed to help identify suspects in ongoing investigations.
