Date:          July 19, 2008

FONTANA - On July 19, 2008 at approximately 1552 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 18200 block of Foothill.  Upon arrival, victim Rahman Garrett, age 34, was located with multiple gunshot wounds.  The victim expired at the scene due to his injuries.  The suspect, Carl Marion age 22, fled the scene in his 2002 Chevy Impala.  Fontana PD notified surrounding agencies with the suspect information.  The suspect was located and pursued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and Colton Police Department.  The suspect was ultimately taken into custody when he exited his vehicle in the City of Colton without further incident.
