FONTANA - On September
13, 2008 at approximately 2026 hours, three pedestrians were on the
southwest corner of Arrow and Cypress waiting to cross Arrow northbound.
A vehicle stops in the eastbound number one lane of Arrow west of
Cypress and flashes their headlamps at the pedestrians to signal them to
cross. The pedestrians cross northbound in an unmarked crosswalk.
The suspect vehicle which is traveling westbound in the number one lane
of Arrow, at approximately 40mph, strikes one of the pedestrians and
then flees the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as a Chevy
Tahoe or GMC Yukon, unknown year, black in color with dark tinted
windows. Anyone with information in regards to this collision or
any information that can help identify the suspect in this case is asked
to contact the Fontana Police Department Traffic Unit, Officer M.
