Subject:       Homicide - 16300 block of Taylor

 Date:          January 28, 2007

FONTANA - On January 27, 2007, suspect Bruce Hernandez arrives at his wife's residence who lives next door to victim Richard Albidrez, who is the nephew of the suspects wife.  Victim Albidrez is outside his own residence and sees the suspect arrive next door.  Victim Albidrez approaches the suspect who is sitting in his vehicle.  victim Albidrez says something to suspect Hernandez who armed himself with a knife when the victim approached the vehicle.  Suspect Hernandez exits the vehicle and begins fist fighting with victim Albidrez.  Suspect Hernandez then pulls the knife he had concealed in his pants pocket and stabs victim Albidrez in the head and torso multiple times.  victim Albidrez collapses and is transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead later that same evening.  Suspect Hernandez was detained at the scene by responding Officers and arrested.  Suspect Hernandez was later booked at West Valley Detention Center.
