Volunteer Fingerprinting

What Volunteering is all About

The purpose is to involve citizens of Fontana with the many community oriented crime prevention programs and services.  Secondly, to assist city staff with various jobs, create interest, pride and goodwill within the city and to stretch the city budget.

It Doesn't Take a lot of Time

There is only one type of person just right for volunteering.  That is a person who cares about others and wants to give of himself/herself.  All it takes is a warm heart and a commitment to serve.  We need the skills of people like you.

What Does it Take to be a Volunteer?

  • Must be 21 years of age

  • No felony convictions

  • Must be fingerprinted

  • Must pass a background check

  • Donate 4 hours per week

  • Must be of good character

Functions:

Office assistant, vacation patrol, neighborhood watch, street survey, public representations, senior representation, facility tours, bike license, bike giveaway, assist police officers, holiday patrol, vehicle maintenance, McGruff, crime analysis, shop with a cop, child protection fair and traffic control.
