If you have been convicted of a registrable sex offense and fail to register, you are committing a crime.  If the offense for which you were convicted was added to the registration law requirements after the date of your conviction, you may not have received personal notice of your duty to register. 

You may contact the Fontana Police Department  Investigations Unit at (909) 350-7720 to see if the offense for which you were convicted requires registration or you may go to the California Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General website at http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/registration/offenses.aspx?lang=ENGLISH
