The Fontana Police Department is committed to protecting the community by providing quality "Service with Integrity".  We realize that individual perception of safety varies widely.  One citizen may think a certain crime is serious, while another citizen may think the same crime is petty.  Also, not all crimes are reported.

We suggest the following things to assist you in determining the
environment of the area you have in question:

• Visit the area both during the day and night.

• Make time to talk to the neighbors and find out how they feel about the area.  The citizens who live in the area know the neighborhood atmosphere best.

• Visit the local schools and talk with principals and teachers.

• Contact the local service clubs, such as Kiwanis and Rotary.

• Speak with the Chamber of Commerce for their input into the City of Fontana
