Redevelopment
- To meet all legal and contractual obligations related to Agency Activities
- To monitor implementation of the Ten-Ninety Facilitation Agreement and process
quarterly statement of development costs within the time period allowed
- To continue to promptly and professionally evaluate redevelopment proposals throughout
the various project areas
- To implement and complete construction of Phase 2 of the Downtown Façade
Program on Sierra Avenue
- To continue to support the Fontana Downtown Business Association with their efforts
to increase small business participation in the
- redevelopment of the Downtown
- To continue to support the efforts of the Fontana Downtown Revitalization Task
Force and their efforts to envision new ideas and
- solutions for the Downtown shopping and residential areas
- To hire artists to create additional murals in the Downtown area
- To complete the design and start construction of the “Decades of History
in Pillars” project through Miller Park and the Town Square Park
- To oversee the construction of the Band Shell in the Town Square Park
- To develop and coordinate a program to identify and apply for grants for functional
areas in the City
- To provide support for a City-wide marketing effort with other City departments
- To provide support for public information coordination to ensure a consistent
and coordinated message is disseminated to the media
- To provide support for State related lobbying efforts and League of California
Cities activities
- To begin construction of selected segments of the Pacific Electric Trail
Low and Moderate Income
Housing
- To continue administration
of financial resources available through the Federal HOME program. These funds
will again be targeted for utilization in conjunction with identified Multi-Family
(apartment) Revitalization Projects
