The Fontana Housing Authority is developing three Senior Affordable Housing Developments in Downtown Fontana. Phase I the Village at Sierra development is located at the northwest corner of Sierra Avenue and Orange Way, directly across the street from the Metrolink station and Omnitrans bus line. The development is located in close proximity to the Civic Center and City Hall, Stater Bros. shopping center and several local churches.
The 108-unit development is affordable to very-low income senior citizens (with income levels at or below 50% of median income). In addition, the non-profit Oldtimer's Foundation provides a variety of ancillary services in conjunction with the development (including meals, nutritional counseling, health services, recreational facilities, etc.).
The Fountains at Sierra and the Gardens at Sierra are located on the northeast and northwest corners of Ceres and Sierra Avenues. The two senior communities will continue the Spanish architectural theme established with the Phase I development.
The three (3) story, ninety-three (93) unit security-gated facilities each will include seventy-five (75) one-bedroom units and eighteen (18) two-bedroom units. The developments will also include pool and spa facilities, along with over 5,300 square feet of community and recreation areas, including a fitness center, pool tables, a computer/media room, and a library.

As proposed, the facilities will be affordable to very-low income senior citizens (with income levels at or below 50% of median income).
It is anticipated that the completion for The Fountains at Sierra will be in March 2005 and The Gardens at Sierra in May 2005.
