Title: City of Fontana Redevelopment Agency
About Us
:: North Fontana

The North Fontana Redevelopment Project was originally adopted in 1982, and encompasses approximately 8,900 acres including major portions of the northern area of the City from Foothill Boulevard to Interstate 15 on the northwest to the City boundaries immediately east of Sierra Avenue. The Project area is sparsely developed due to extensive flooding dangers and a lack of major infrastructure improvements. There are minimal two-lane roads, sewers, electrical service and domestic water service in certain areas. An amendment was adopted on November 15, 1994 to bring the North Fontana Redevelopment Plan in conformity with the requirements of AB 1290. The most significant development within the Project is the Village of Heritage, a 1,400-acre mixed-use development comprised of single and multifamily housing, office park, commercial and industrial uses.
