Downtown Revitalization Task Force
(DTTF)
Facts:
- Formed April 11, 2000
- The result of a Town Hall meeting organized by Councilwoman Josie Gonzales and the Fontana Area Chamber
of Commerce
Objective:
- To assist the community, business and city government to transform the downtown area into a place that
meets the needs of the community, encourages business growth and retention and provides a clean, safe,
pleasant environment for all to enjoy.
Purpose:
- Increase Retail Sales
- Increase Sales Tax Revenue
- Increase Market Value & Demand for Real Estate
- Increase Tax Increment
- Create a Business District that becomes a Center for Community Life
- Enhance Quality of Life for all Fontana Residents
The DTTF membership is comprised
of business owners, property owners, residents, tenant renters, and City Staff.
The DTTF meets:
Second Wednesday of the month
Downtown Revitalization Office
8457 Sierra Avenue
Downtown Fontana
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
and is usually one hour long.
The meeting is chaired by a Downtown community member and any Downtown business or property owner, resident,
or tenant in the immediate Downtown District is invited to join the Task Force and attend the monthly meetings.
Residents of the Greater Fontana Community are also encouraged to attend.
