The Household Hazardous Waste Program handles the proper disposal of common household products that contain chemicals that can pollute our air, property, and drinking water, and also harm our children, pets, and local wildlife. HHW products can not be disposed of in landfills or poured down the drain because they pose a potential danger. |

| HHW labels contain words such as
"DANGER, WARNING, CORROSIVE, POISON, CAUTION,
FLAMMABLE, EXPLOSIVE, OXIDIZER, IRRITANT, HARMFUL or FATAL". |
| Common HHWs include: |

- Batteries
- Chemical Drain Cleaners
- Computer Monitors
- Electronic Waste
- Garden Chemicals

HOUSEHOLD MATERIALS REUSE CENTER
Sometimes, residents bring in perfectly good, reusable products. The City offers them back to residents at the Household Materials Reuse Center. Items typically available include:
- Fertilizers
- Household Cleaners and Polishes
- Pesticides
- Pool Chemicals
- Water-based Paints
The Center is open at the HHW Facility during Facility hours. |

PLEASE NOTE:
- A refuse bill is required to show proof of residency.
- Fluids should be in a tightly sealed and labeled container.
- No more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds are allowed per trip.
- The facility does not accept:
- Business waste
- Explosives
- Asbestos
- Radioactive or medical waste (except SHARPS materials)
