PRESS RELEASE

2010 State of the City Address
Reviving Economic Opportunity

Release Date: January 19, 2010

The Mayor and City Council invite the public to the 2010 State of the City Address on January 28 at the Jessie Turner Community Center. This annual event serves as a time for employees, business owners, potential investors and residents to hear the City’s plans for the coming year. The theme at this year’s event is “Reviving Economic Opportunity.” Mayor Mark Nuaimi will deliver the address focused on the many successes from the past decade such as the launch of a new police report system, the opening of the Shops at Sierra Lakes, the groundbreaking on Kaiser Permanente’s new hospital, the opening of Fernandez Park and the grand opening of Hilton Garden Inn. Additionally, the Mayor will lay out the vision for Fontana’s future; a future that Nuaimi and the City Council fervently believe is promising despite current economic circumstances.

Three sessions are available for those who wish to attend. The breakfast session begins at 8:00 am with a cost of $35 per person. The lunch session begins at 11:30 am with a cost of $35 per person. The evening session begins promptly at 7:00 pm and is free.

The Jessie Turner Community Center is located at 15556 Summit Avenue, just a few miles east of Interstate 15 off the Summit Avenue exit.
