The Mayor and City Council announce the start of construction of the sidewalk improvements on Hawthorne Avenue from Blanchard Avenue to Palmetto Avenue (north side) and Hawthorne Avenue from Tamarind Avenue to Alder Avenue (south side). The project is expected to commence on November 23, 2009 and be completed by the second week of December, 2009. The completion of this project will greatly enhance sidewalks and improve the routes for school children in this vicinity. The public is requested to use caution during construction in this area.
