Fontana’s Art Depot
Open Studio Sessions in September

Fontana, California. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to Open Studio sessions at the Art Depot located at 16822 Springs Street during the month of September from 12 to 1:30 pm or 2 to 3:30 pm. Sessions are $3 per participant. Reservations are available.

Featured topics for the art tutorials include Giuseppe Arcimboldo Portraits on September 4, in which students will put their imagination to work by using Arcimboldo’s style of producing portraits with the use of fruits and vegetables. Cubism Drawing Collage on September 11 will teach learners the cubist style of art by creating a collage with multiple views and textures, while, Mexican Folk Art on September 18 will allow participants to craft their own versions of skeleton art and learn about Jose Posada’s role in Mexican Folk Art. The last session, Islamic Geometric Art on September 25 will illustrate to students the art of creating their own geometric patterns using a compass and a straight edge.
