Get Fit at the Heritage Center
Classes begin soon!
Fontana, California. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to register for the new karate and tumbling classes at the Heritage Neighborhood Center located at 7350 W. Liberty Parkway.
Shorin-Ryu Karate teaches traditional and fundamental aspects of Karate. In this class you will develop strong character, self-respect and respect for others. Work individually or with a partner as you learn punches, kicks, blocks and self-defense techniques. Please purchase a white Karate uniform and protective equipment prior to starting the class. If you do not purchase a uniform, you may also wear sweats and a t-shirt until you obtain a uniform. This class is for ages 8 and older and takes place on Saturdays. The beginners-intermediate class is from 9:30 to 10:30 am and advanced level is from 10:30 to 11:30 am. This class will be $20 for 4 weeks.
The Tumbling class focuses on building up confidence, improving basic dance skills, flexibility and strength for kids. This class is a great way for children to stay healthy and fit by providing a great workout in a fun-filled environment! Children will learn how to do somersaults, cartwheels, backbends, forward and backward rolls and trains. Kids will gain self confidence, body awareness and learn how to work with a team. This class is for ages 4 to 12 and will take place on Saturdays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. This class is $22 for 4 weeks.
