CAP seminars in May
Fontana, California. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to the Community Assistance Program seminars offered at the Cypress Center, located at 8380 Cypress Avenue throughout the month of May. Upcoming topics include An Overview of Children’s Self Esteem, ADHD and Depression, on Thursday, May 7, Is Your Relationship Safe? on Thursday, May 21, and Understanding Your Credit Report and Score on Thursday, May 28. All classes are free and offered from 7 to 9 pm.
An Overview of Children’s Self Esteem, ADHD and Depression offers parents and caregivers information regarding the impacts of bullying on both the victim and aggressor. Participants will be given tips on what to look for, what to do, and where to turn for help. Children with depression will also be offered as well as ways to help build self-esteem and ways in which to maintain that level of confidence. ADHD will also be discussed, to include how to recognize true symptoms, and observational tips.
Is Your Relationship Safe? teaches how to keep yourself and children safe in an abusive relationship. The seminar is provided by House of Ruth.
Understanding Your Credit Report and Score provides information about what is on a credit report, how it gets there, how it is calculated, and how to develop good financial habits. The seminar is given by Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management.
