Fontana’s First Arts Festival
An Evening of Art and Music
Fontana, California. The Mayor and City Council invite the public for An Evening of Art and Music at the first Fontana Arts Festival on July 23, 2009 at the Miller Park Amphitheater, located at 17004 Arrow Boulevard, from 6 to 10 p.m. Participants will enjoy live art demonstrations, art workshops, food, shopping and music from the Michael Sullivan Band. This event is free.
Emphasis on visual arts will be evident throughout the park as visitors enjoy thirty-minute workshops that will allow participants an opportunity to learn a variety of artistic techniques from improving ceramic skills to acrylic painting, as well as thirty-minute demonstrations on stage, and interactive arts activities. Participants are also encouraged to chat with the artists including featured quarterly artist, Joshua Valencia, whose artwork will be on display at the Art Depot Gallery, located near the Miller Park Amphitheater, at 16822 Spring Street.
The festival will complete it’s line-up of entertainment with featured musical guest, the Michael Sullivan Band. “We are thrilled to bring performing arts entertainment to our community,” says Nathan Hunt cultural arts coordinator, adding, “the Michael Sullivan Band which will jump start the evening with quality and fun music, through the diverse and inspiring 20 minute performing art showcases, this evening of art and music is sure to be a delight.”
