Fontana’s
Heritage Pool gets a kick-start to the swimming season

Fontana,
California, May 13, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents to a special prevue of the upcoming
summer swimming season by visiting the Heritage Pool located at 7350 W. Liberty Parkway beginning Saturday, May
24 from noon to 4:30 pm and 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The special opening is in celebration of the grand opening of the
Heritage Neighborhood Center scheduled for Saturday, May 31 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Heritage Pool is located in the quiet neighborhood of Village of Heritage and is one of three city pools that
will operate all summer long until season closures scheduled for Monday, September 1.
Heritage Pool is a family favorite and popular venue for the weekly Dive-In at the Pool which is featured on
Fridays for $1.50 per swimmer ages 1-17 and $3.00 per adult swimmer. The theme for nightly summer entertainment
is Around the World in Eight Weeks. While residents will spend nearly every night enjoying cultural entertainment
based on different continents, the line-up for the world tour inspired movies include Rescuers Down Under,
An American Tail, Pocahontas, Emperor’s New Groove, Ratatouille, The Lion King, Mulan , and Happy
Feet .
