PRESS RELEASE

Cruise Night in Fontana returns on May 2

Release Date: April 28, 2008

Fontana, California, April 28, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite Inland Empire car lovers to the monthly Cruise Night on Spring Street and Sierra Avenue in downtown Fontana on Friday, May 2 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm. Live entertainment will be provided by Don Lee and the Surf Tones.

Visitors will see a great diversity in the cars and motorcycles at the Fontana Cruise Night. Some enjoy the Porsches and Harleys while others come to see the classic Fords and Chevrolets. Hundreds of cars are usually on display at Cruise Night.

The event is so popular the line of cars often spills over from Spring Street to Nuevo Avenue with both sides of the street lined with participants and pedestrians. The owners love to discuss their vehicles while the onlookers sit back and admire the displays while enjoying great live entertainment.

Cruise Night is sponsored by two car clubs: the Donut Gang and Empire Classics. The family friendly event features dozens of vendors, free face painting, animal balloons, the library book mobile, the Fontana Historical Society, and the free Open Studio art sessions at the neighboring Art Depot.

To find out more about the event, please visit www.fontana.org. Car owners and vendors may register by calling (909) 428-8360 .
