class schedule for Community Assistance Program

Fontana,
California, April 28, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite residents to register for upcoming classes
offered in May through the Community Assistance Program (CAP), a partnership between the City of Fontana and
the Water of Life Community Church. CAP offers a variety of resources that enrich the lives of citizens to include
financial, nutritional, and personal advice.
“May will be an important month,” explains Linda Burton program director, “we have received several calls in
recent months about the homeownership and financial classes.”
The upcoming free classes in May include How You Can Purchase a Foreclosure Home on Thursday, May
8, Go Healthy Eating Smart and Being Active! on Tuesday, May 13, What is Domestic
Violence? on Thursday, May 15, Short Sale on May 1, Interview Techniques on Thursday,
May 22, and Road Map to Financial Freedom on Thursday, May 29.
CAP offers residents a variety of opportunities to improve their lives or find resources to help them address
problems they may face. The May events are all offered at the Cypress neighborhood center, 8380 Cypress Avenue.
