CAP
offers classes to those entering the workforce

Fontana,
California, June 4, 2008. The Mayor and City Council invite teens and adults looking for employment
to attend two free workshops from the Community Assistance Program at the Cypress neighborhood center, 8380 Cypress
Avenue. Resume and Applications on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. and Power of Paycheck Planning on
Thursday June 26 at 7:00 p.m. will guide participants through the core essentials for filling out applications,
writing resumes, or how to handle the new paycheck once hired.
The CAP workshops offer citizens valuable tools for improving their lives. In this series, participants will
learn some of the key elements to applying for entry-level positions with the Resume and Applications class.
During the Power of Paycheck Planning workshop, students will hear some of the tips and tricks to making
an hourly wage work for you. Both classes are excellent resources for teens and college students who are entering
the workforce for the first time.
