Passport Travel Requirement Changes

Upcoming Travel Requirements

Are you planning on traveling to the
Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Canada, or Mexico?

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative will require all travelers to and from these areas to have a passport to enter or re-enter the United States. This initiative will be rolled out in phases. The proposed timeline is as follows:

January 8, 2007
Requirement applied to all air travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.

January 1, 2008
Requirement extended to all land and sea border crossings as well as air travel.
