A current rabies certificate and the spay/neuter certificate is needed.

Altering your dog is a personal choice. However, the fees for unaltered dogs is significantly higher than the altered fees.
Small dog imageWill I get a reminder to renew my license?
A yellow postcard will be mailed to you. The postcard has all of your information as well as your dogs information. We recommend that you bring in the postcard when you renew your license. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the owner to remember to renew their license on time.

You have within 30 days of owning your dog, or within 30 days of moving into the City of Fontana.

Yes, the license must be attached to the dog’s collar or harness.
Small dog imageWhy did I get a courtesy notice on my door?
Courtesy notices are posted throughout the city. The notices are to ensure that all dogs residing in the city have current licenses. If your dog is currently licensed and you receive a notice, you may disregard the notice.
