It is the policy of the City of Fontana to accept applications
only for positions for which a recruitment is in process. Resumes
for positions not currently in the recruitment process will be
returned to the interested party.

How to Apply for an Open Position:

or in person at the Human Resources Department at the address indicated above.
The
Online Application Form:
You
may obtain the online application form packet by following the link
for the desired positions. Positions may have a different
set of requirements, therefore, you need to use the packet for the
position in which you are interested. Once you have accessed
the application, please fill it out in full. You may fill
it out online and print it or print the forms and fill out offline.
Either way, the forms must then be mailed, or hand delivered, with
your original signature, to the Human Resources Department.
Applications
must be received in the Human Resources Department by the deadline
indicated on the job announcement. (Sorry, no facsimiles,
e-mail or postmarked applications accepted.) Resumes and other
unsolicited materials are always accepted in addition to the application
form, but will not be considered in lieu of the application
form. Failure to complete the appropriate application form(s) may
result in disqualification from the selection process.
Selection Procedure:
Applications
will be screened and those applicants determined to most closely
meet the requirements of the position will be invited to participate
in the selection process. The selection process may include, but
is not limited to, written, practical, and/or oral examination(s).
