Easter is almost here. This year the City of Fontana has added the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center at Fontana Park and the Miller Fitness Community Center at Miller Park to the list of venues. Both locations are expected to draw large crowds of adventurous eggs-plorers of all ages.

Don Day Neighborhood Center, 14501 Live Oak Avenue
Have fun at Don Day Neighborhood Center.
Children ages 12 and under will have a great time at the Don Day Neighborhood Center’s Annual Easter Eggstravaganza which features three hidden golden tickets for each age group of seekers. Those having the good fortune of finding the tickets will be awarded an Easter Basket.
Don Day will also offer eggs-traordinary games such as the Easter Bunny Bean Bag Toss and Egg Spoon Relay. Those longing for a more relaxing event may choose to create an Easter Bunny Bracelet or Jelly Bean Chick.
Lance Olson Photography will also be on site to take family photos with the Easter Bunny. The Eggstravaganza event is free, but there is a $7 fee per photo.
Heritage Neighborhood Center at McDermott Park, located at
7846 S. Heritage Loop
The staff at the Heritage Neighborhood Center will offer more fun again this year, at the Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Egg hunters, ages 3 to 12 will search for Mr. Bunny’s Golden Egg followed by entertainment, give aways, and class demonstrations. The Library Book Mobile will also be on site to offer services to young readers.
McDermott Sport Complex will be turned into an Easter Hunt Eggcitement on April 11.
A special area will be available for residents to have their photos taken with Mr. Bunny. Parents are responsible for taking their own photos. Information about Heritage classes, Easter puppets projects, and free face paintings will be available.
Staff will also offer fun recreational games at various activity stations which include Bunny Hop, Bunny Obstacle Course, Pop and Catch, Quack Ring Toss and Bunny Bean Bag Toss. Many will offer an eggs-tra fun spin on old favorites.

Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center, 15556 Summit Avenue
Even the dogs will get in on the action at Fontana Park.
Hop on over to the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center for the first Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Canine and Cuties Easter Fun Walk.
The events begin at 10 am with Easter Egg Hunts for ages 3 to 12. Pet lovers are welcome to participate in the Canine and Cuties Easter Fun Walk from the dog park to the Egg Hunt from 10 until 11 am. Following the hour of eggs-treme hunting, or walking, guests will be invited into the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center for more fun and games.
Activities include Face Paintings, Make Your Own Puzzles, Foam Easter Bracelets, Easter Egg Stomp, Duck Race, and Easter Egg Basketball Race. Residents are also invited to experience some of the wonderful new programming at Jessie Turner. Open classrooms and demonstrations will be available for all to enjoy throughout the event.

Miller Fitness Center, 17004 Arrow Boulevard
Miller Park Amphitheater will be the new home for Egg Hunts.
This is the first year at Miller Park and the staff at the Fitness Center has put together an Egg Hunt that will make those who participating smile with delight as they hunt for colorful eggs filled with wonderful surprises well hidden in the lush grass and foliage surrounding the Center.
The hunt which is for ages 3 to 12 begins at 10 am and is followed by games, crafts, face painting, and an Easter basket pick up from 10:30 to 12 pm. To find out more, please contact the Miller Fitness Center at (909) 428-8363.
Other Events
The annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Mountain View Community Church will again be held at Veteran’s Park, located at 17255 Merrill Avenue. The event begins at 10 am with the hunt traditionally following an open service. Please call (909) 357-9377 for details.
