The Village of Heritage Neighborhood Center offers a variety of recreational
opportunities to residents. The opening of the 10,300 square-foot facility has been highly
anticipated and on May 31, 2008 nearly 1500 residents enjoyed the new state-of-the- art amenities.
Location, Location, Location
The Heritage Neighborhood Center is located at 7350 W. Liberty Parkway within
the heart of the Village of Heritage neighborhood which is conveniently situated west of
Cherry Avenue between Baseline Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.

The neighborhood, the plans of which were adopted in 1985, has close to
3,500 single-family homes and nearly 100 town homes all of which decorate the winding roads
and lush grasses found throughout the immediate area.
Take a walk with neighbors in the evening.
The existing amenities within the Village of Heritage are a definite draw
for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle. The Village of Heritage –

of opportunities for cool dips in Heritage Pool, strolls along the wide sidewalks with the
local Steps Along the Way Healthy Fontana Walking Club, even mixed doubles on
the well kept tennis courts at McDermott Park Sports Complex. The only thing that has been
missing is a functioning neighborhood center to serve as a focal point where citizens can
come together, enjoy quality fitness programs, learn something new or improve their own lives.
Programming at the Heritage Neighborhood Center
Given the recreational and family atmosphere surrounding the Village of Heritage,
the new programming for the Neighborhood Center has been planned to reflect the lifestyles
of the residents.
Program favorites such as Jazzercise, Tai Chi, and Olympic-Style Judo are
all a part of the Heritage neighborhood center class lineup. There are many more however
that are guaranteed to keep the kids, parents, and grandparents coming to the center almost
daily.

One of these exciting new classes at the Heritage neighborhood center includes
the Tech Zone programs for all ages. Whether an adult needs additional training on the computer
keyboard or a child is obviously curious about the home computer, everyone will win with
the
Tech Zone. The Adult Tech Zone introduces speed typing, Microsoft Word, Power Point,
and more. The Kid/Teen or Pee Wee Tech Zones each offer anyone ages 8-15 or 5-7 with appropriate
introductions to programs, speed typing (for the teen tech zone) and a basic introduction
to computer hardware and components.
Science classes to include Mad Science System 5, Crazy Chemworks, and Academy
for Future Space Explorers are all available this summer for students in first and
second grades. The classes, which are eight weeks in duration, are held on Monday evenings
for one hour and remind students that summer and science can be enjoyed all at one time.
Some of the fun experiments children will participate in over their summer vacations include
radical robots, lab techniques with demonstrations, or student activities straight from
the NASA Langley Research Center in Virginia.
The Heritage Neighborhood Center also offers personal programming to help
involved parents give their children direction without being overbearing.
Youth programming includes All About Me! a class for young ladies
that will help them to find and define their own inner and outer beauty; Mind your Manners etiquette
classes for children; Instilling Character and Building Self- Confidence in Kids; even
self-defense for girls is offered through Winning Edge Child Awareness Rapid Escape (W.E.C.A.R.E.); Fight
like a Girl (F.L.A.G.); and Girls on Guard (G.O.G.)
Adults and teens will also benefit from classes that cover credit cards,
real-estate, and college preparation, any of which will promote a sense of fiscal responsibility
for those about to enter the world of finance.
