Recently, Best Life magazine published
a list of the 100 best places to raise a family, Fontana
was ranked 24.
According to the magazine, several factors were
considered in the data comparisons to include the student-to-teacher
ratio, respectable budgets, number of nearby parks and more.
“Best Life editors used these categories and data
from the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Center for Education Statistics,
the FBI, the American Association of Museums, the National Center
for Health Statistics and the American Bar Association to evaluate
257 cities.”
This is the second time this year that the community
of Fontana has been recognized for the exceptional family focused
environment and recreational amenities that have been key aspects
of the General Plan.
"We currently have over $100 million of improvements
under construction, or recently completed, with the Lewis Library
and Technology Center and Fontana Park as the two largest investments,” said
Mayor Mark Nuaimi, “All of these investments are targeted to enhancing
the learning and fitness environment for all our residents -- with
specific attention paid to our youth."
