Fontana's new library is now under construction and you can help to make it a success

We are thrilled that the City of Fontana's Library and Resource Technology Center is finally under construction. Not only will Fontana's library be the largest library in all of San Bernardino County, our new facility will be unlike any other library in the entire region. We recently broke ground on this multi-level 92,500 square foot library facility and City staff are dedicated to keeping this project on schedule.

Library entrance perspective

It was a true team effort to make this project a reality and help the City secure a $14.9 million grant from the California Library Construction Board. From City staff and school officials to elected leaders at all levels of government and even residents as well as local students, this community came together in order to finally demonstrate to the Library Board that this community not only needed a new library but we needed it now.

Now we need the community to come together once again to make sure that this new library is completely stocked with a comprehensive book collection and all the other needed resources that will make this library second to none. Our special donor program is now in full swing and this unique program allows anyone to contribute money from large corporations and local businesses to families and students. Everyone can make a difference with this project and we need to make sure that Fontana's new Library has everything that will foster educational excellence. For more information on how you can sponsor a book or even a computer, check the library's website for complete information on the City's Library Donor Program or you can call (909) 350-7696.
