Mark N. Nuaimi, Mayor and
Chairperson of the Fontana Industrial Development Authority

Mark N. Nuaimi was elected Mayor of Fontana in November 2002 and was re-elected in November 2006. His term will expire in November 2010.

Mr. Nuaimi has lived in Fontana since 1989. He is Assistant City Manager of the City of Colton. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and an Associate of Science Degree from Don Bosco Technical Institute. He is married to Susanne and has three children, Jessica, Marcus and Davis.

Mr. Nuaimi represents Fontana on the following committees:

  • City of Fontana Recreation
  • City of Fontana Chamber of Commerce
  • I-10 Corridor Committee
  • Fontana Unified School District Sub-Committee
  • San Bernardino Associated Government (SANBAG)

  • SANBAG Plan and Programs Committee
  • SANBAG Major Projects Committee
  • SCAG Transportation and Communications Committee
  • SCAG Long Term Transportation Financing Committee
Mr. Nuaimi is also involved in a number of civic and community organizations including:
  • Fontana Area Chamber of Commerce
  • Fontana Boys & Girls Club – President 1995-1997
    • Treasurer 1997-1999
  • Area Council Chairman 1998-Present Youth Sports Coach (T-Ball basketball, Youth Basketball)
