Council Member and Vice Chairperson of the Fontana Housing Authority, Fontana Industrial Development Authority, and Fontana Public Financing Authority

Frank Scialdone
was appointed to the Fontana City Council in 2004 and was elected in 2006.
His current term will expire in November 2010. Frank was employed with the
Fontana Police Department from 1973 through 2004. He retired
as the City’s Police Chief in July 2004.
Mr. Scialdone’s education consists of Associate of Science
Degree - Police Science, Chaffey Junior College, June 1969;
Bachelors of Science Degree – Criminology, California
State University, Long Beach June 1971; Federal Bureau of Investigation,
National Academy - Class 159, December 1989; Commission on Peace
Officer Standards and Training, Command College - Class 17,
January 1994; and Master of Arts Degree – Management,
Cal Poly, Pomona, June 1994.
His Community Involvement includes; City of Fontana ACES (Advanced
Community and Education Services Project) Steering Committee
Member, July 2004 to Present; Boys and Girls Club of Fontana,
Board Member, 1996 to Present; Board Member American Red Cross,
Inland Empire East Chapter, (Chairperson of the Personnel and
Long Range Planning Committees), 1983 through 1996; Central
Valley Fire District - Fire Commissioner, Board Member 1989
through 1992; Fontana Unified School District Member and Chairperson
of the Ethnic & Boundary Review Committee - 1979 to 1982,
Member Bond Committee - 1989 & 1998, Member School Police
Committee - 1994 through 1995, President and Board Member -
Fontana High School Band Boosters - 1988 through 1994; Volunteer,
Fontana Special Olympics, 1996 to Present; Citizens in Support
of Fontana’s Utility Users Tax, Treasurer, 1998 to 1999;
Announcer for the city’s annual Fontana Days and Christmas
Parades, 1997 to Present.
Mr. Scialdone is married and has three (3) children, six (6)
grandchildren.
