Final Environmental Impact Report (SCH# 1995052002) - Date of Hearing: December 6, 2016

Specific Plan Amendment No. 09-001, General Plan Amendment No. 09-001, General Plan Amendment No. 09-001, General Plan Amendment No. 15-001, and Zone Change No. 09-001.

The Westgate Specific Plan includes 60 development areas, designated as “Planning Areas” (PAs).  Altogether, these PAs would allow for up to 3,277 residential units, with an option to build an additional 474 units (minimum 10,000 square foot lots), for a total of 3,751 market rate (nonsubsidized) residential units, approximately 50.9 acres of Commercial Retail and approximately 304.8 acres of mixed use which will accommodate approximately 233.2 acres of business park and professional office uses and approximately 71.6 acres of warehouse/distribution uses, approximately 29.7 acres of Open Space/Public Parks, approximately 3.4 acres of Open Space/Private Parks, approximately 1.4 acres of Open Space/Landscape, approximately 96.1 acres of Open Space/Utility Corridor, approximately 24 acres for two (2) Elementary Schools, approximately 60 acres for a future High School, and approximately 89.4 acres of major street rights-of-way.  Approvals required for development of the Westgate Specific Plan Project would include, but may not be limited to, the following: Rescind the previous adopted Westgate Specific Plan and adoption of the new Westgate Specific Plan; An amendment to the Zoning District Map to reflect the new boundaries of the Westgate Specific Plan; An amendment to the City of Fontana General Plan land use map to reflect the changes to the general plan land use designations and an amendment to the Circulation Element to reflect the proposed roadway reclassifications and realignments; and Certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report. There is no development being proposed as part of this project.

Adopting the 2016 edition of the California Building Standards Code - Date of Hearing: City Council Meeting of December 13, 2016

An Ordinance of the City of Fontana adding, amending and deleting certain articles, sections and subsections of Chapter 5 of the Code of the City of Fontana, California pertaining to the construction and maintenance of buildings, and adopting the 2016 edition of the California Building Standards Code, known as the California Code of Regulations, Title 24, consisting of the California Building Code, volumes 1 & 2, based on the 2015 international building code; The California Plumbing Code, based on the 2015 Uniform Plumbing Code; The California Electrical Code, based on the 2014 National Electrical Code; The California Mechanical Code, based on the 2015 Uniform Mechanical Code; The California existing Building Code, based on the 2015 International existing Building Code; The California Green Building Standards Code; The California Residential Code, based on the 2015 International Residential Code; and the 1997  Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code.
