Project S.O.B.E.R.
 Safe Operation Becomes Everyone's Responsibility

Project Sober    Project S.O.B.E.R. is a collaborative awareness effort regarding D.U.I. activity within the City of Fontana.

The goal of the on-going campaign is to prevent traffic-related death and injuries by focusing on the following components:

 Drive Sober
  • Aggressive Enforcement directs proactive and reactive resources to suppress current rates of DUI-related incidents. This includes D.U.I. checkpoints, D.U.I. Surveillance Operations, and participation in statewide sponsored D.U.I. programs.
  • Community Awareness includes community partnerships to promote the important message that driving under the influence will not be tolerated and also includes awareness activities throughout the year, especially during the holiday season.                                                                                                                                                      - Super Bowl Sober Tow Program - February 1, 2015
  •        - Fourth of July Sober Tow Program - July 4, 2015
