Preparing Creative Salads
Salads are a great way to incorporate the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables into your diet. Get creative with your salads! You can eat a small salad with chicken, fish, or pork - almost anything. Add sliced pears, apples, or any other crunchy fruit or vegetable to mix it up.

Watch the dressing; a good rule is to use half of what you would normally use. You can also try a reduced calorie version of your favorite dressing.

Aid Your Digestion
Salads can also contain complex carbohydrates and fiber, which aid in digestion and help you feel full. Try to eat a salad loaded with vegetables before your dinner to reduce the amount of food you consume during the meal.
